I am a English poet who lives in the ship shape and Bristol fashion city. In the day, I manage emergency accommodation for homeless families and in my spare time, I am scribbling down poetry to languish in my kitchen drawers.
I was so pleased my poem 'Successful Search' had been long listed in 2018 'The Woolf' inaugural poetry competition and 'Beseeching' shortlisted in Herheart Instagram 2017 competition. Also the most excellent Dime Show Review, then also Lyrically Justified Volume 3 have published my poem 'Rose Bombs'. https://www.dimeshowreview.com/rose-bombs-by-lisa-lopresti/. Please check out Lyrically Justified, Volume 3 Anthology, available on line https://www.lyricallyjustified.co.uk/.
Several of my poems have been played on BBC Radio Bristol on the most excellent Adam Crowther's 'Up Load' evening programme. He then interviewed me on his programme on Armistice Day about my poem ' Hero's Speak Quietly' that was broadcast that day. His programme celebrates the wealth of local talent in the local area, please listen in when you can.
